One important consideration when planning a pre-need funeral is where the remains will be buried, entombed or scattered. You can choose to pay in advance (prepaid funeral) or simply make all the arrangements (preplanned funeral) which puts less burden on your family during the bereavement. But keep in mind that over time prices may go up. And in some areas, prices may even go down over time. It can be a good idea to review and revise your decisions every few years.
