Both my husband and I are planning to be cremated. If my husband dies first can I have my remains added to his?

This a question to ask your Funeral Director when you pre-plan your funeral. Laws can vary greatly state to state, and your local Funeral Director will know which laws are applicable in your area.

  1. The simple answer is yes, you can combine your ashes with your husbands. If you keep his ashes in a cremation urn or temporary urn be sure not to seal it completely. Purchase a cremation urn with a threaded screw top lid or one that seals with screws…something that can be opened easily down the road. Stay away from an urn that must be sealed with adhesive. Take care, MM

They also have urns that are designed to hold two person, called companion urns, you might look into that
